Air Ride Suspension

Air ride suspension refers to the shock absorbers, struts, and springs fitted to most passenger vehicles. These parts are very important to the performance of a car as they help in absorbing the shock of sudden changes in velocity and improve handling on the road. The air suspension system is also designed to support power steering, traction control, and other engine functions.

Generally, an air ride suspension system is not always the best option. There are some instances where air suspension is absolutely required. However, if the car has been racing in any form over the years, its suspension geometry will have changed so that it offers excellent handling.

There is another version of the air suspension kit which is known as strut-locking suspension. This system uses locking pins which are arranged in such a way that the pin locking devices do not move when the suspension system changes direction. So, there is no chance of the pins moving out of place because the pin locking device is always fixed to the same position. This also eliminates the chances of hydraulic or pneumatic clutches being worn out over time. This is one of the main reasons why this type of air ride suspension kit is more expensive compared to other types. The performance is also superior to other types of air suspension systems.

Although most air spring comes with the locking pins, there are some air shocks that require a pin lock installation. These kits are normally used for racing and need to provide a good amount of ground clearance. Therefore, if you live in an area where there are not many roads to travel on, it may not be possible to install this kit. Therefore, do your homework properly before investing in this kit because you may end up spending much more money if the suspension kit is not right for your car.

Air suspension system is easy to install if you follow instructions carefully.
